History
Sociedade Agrícola Alberto Manso Lda.- Casa de Valpereiro is a family farm, whose origins date back to the beginning of the 18th century.
As time went by, the assimilation of new production techniques (livestock, cereals, linen, silkworms, wine, olive oil, almonds, figs, cork, etc.) allowed adaptations that were fundamental for the success of all who were in charge of the company during all these years.
In the 1990s, the company underwent internal changes and began to focus on olive groves for the production of olive oil, pastures for cattle and cork oaks.
The extra virgin olive oil Casa de Valpereiro, PDO Olive Oil from Trás-os-Montes and from Organic Agriculture, comes from olives of traditional varieties from the region of Trás-os-Montes, namely Verdeal, Madural, Cordovil and Cobrançosa. Every year they are harvested at the right time of maturation and are transported immediately to the mill to begin the extraction of the olive oil.
