The Variety Galega

2021-04-29

Galega is the oldest variety in Portugal.

It is grown in the southern regions of the country and is included as a variety of POD olive oils from Beiras, Ribatejo, Alentejo Interior, Moura and Norte Alentejano.

It is a delicate oil, with aromas of apple and ripe fruit on the nose. In the mouth it is sweet and spicy.

It goes well with delicate fish, vegetables and fruits.

In addition to olive oil, Galega is also used as table olives.
