The level of intensity of the olive oil depends a lot on the product. Here are 3 examples for different tastes:
- Spicy olive oil is an oil whose spiciness comes from the variety of olives and / or time of harvest. If picked green, the olives tend to produce a more spicy oil.
- Chilli-infused oil is mild. It is made with olives and chilli still in the mill, where both flavors blend harmoniously.
- The most intense (and hot) type is the piri-piri infused olive oil, which should be used to season dishes with only a few drops, depending on your comfort level for spicy flavors.
